Re: DIGITALPIMP... question.. how did you black out your grilles??

I used neoprene rustproof/undercoating for a mat-black finish.

Re: DIGITALPIMP... question.. how did you black out your grilles??

The key was to make sure after you remove the grill from the car to take the grill apart and only powder coat the grill. It will take more time, but it really pays off on.

Your grill looks so good, it almost makes me want a Black V.

Trukk Thanks for the comments.

Black V's are faster (Referencing the thread about the Stealth grey and it being a "slower (Now we have 2 in the family)" car cause of the color.)

Re: DIGITALPIMP... question.. how did you black out your grilles??

heh...

Black cars are black due to no reflection of light photons, hence no color is seen. All those photon's just get 'stuck' to black cars. Every kid that has a quality high school edjukation (like me!) knows that photons have a LOT of mass (learned that in fisics class).

Why I bet your car has an extra 200 Lb's of photons stuck to it (at least if it's an '04).

You can't argue with SCIENCE!

Light Platinum V's are faster.

Re: DIGITALPIMP... question.. how did you black out your grilles??

I used photon resistant clear coat as well as anti photon powder coat. Yeah, in fact I used super secret double probation paint that resists photon collection on the paint surface, as well as introduces Nitrogen into the paint hence lightening the vehicle. :drinker

First liar never has a chance.
