    Finally found the right CTS-V!

    Hi all,

I pulled the trigger this weekend! I purchased a 2005 Platinum V with sunroof and sport suspension, 50000 miles, no accidents, completely stock and it looks as if it just came out of the show room inside and out. The previous owner was a nearing 50 year old gentlemen who was the second owner since the car had 15000 miles; he drove the V on weekends/Sundays and had full maintenance records from his local cadillac dealer where the work was done. The car has never had any warranty work done and the inspection ( done by a V tech at my local cadillac dealer ) came back near perfect. I couldn't be happier to have a 4 door corvette to drive this winter while my '12 Grand Sport Coupe is stored (which is also silver in colour)!! They look awesome parked beside each other in the garage : )

    Nice V!

Where do you live where this can be considered your winter vehicle? Is KCK any clue on the location?!

Great buy!! That is exactly the same car I am looking for. Unfortunately it was over 3,000 km's away.

Congrats on the purchase, this vehicle was purchased on the west coast of Canada.

I live in Vancouver BC Canada…. we don't get much snow, maybe a few inches all winter…. but it does rain lol a lot of rain. The vette is ok in the rain although slow, but I choose to store it to save the wear and tear of winter driving, as well I needed a vehicle with a little more practicality and more seating. I figured the V was perfect; I still get the power and (almost as much) driving enjoyment of the vette, while having the ability to be safe in the rain and carry more passengers.

Although not even close to 3000 km's away, I travelled all day to purchase this car. A 2 hour drive, then a 2 hour ferry ride…. I spent the entire day test driving, doing inspections, negotiating, transfer and insurance … then the 2 hour ferry followed by a 2 hour drive home. After searching for some time, I took the advice of many on this forum and did the leg work to find that perfect V. It the kind of car you do not want to settle on. I would say if there is that perfect V out there, even 3000 km's away, put the effort in and go get her!! You will be so much happier with your purchase. I know I am.

SWEET!!! Just picked up the same one, an '05 in the same color combo. Took me 7 months and 1,000 miles away. Best of luck with the car, use it well....you'll love it.

May I ask how much you paid for the vehicle? Shopping for V's in Toronto is quite a challenge.
