If anybody watches "drive" on YouTube they have a show called BRZ or that...basically they talk about other cars you should buy instead of a Subaru BRZ.

This made me think about the V1. What other car is the best challenger for our classic Vs. if you were gonna replace it...what would you buy?

If I had to replace my V tomorrow I would probably by an Audi rs4.

...so V1 or that. What would you buy?

    Re: V1 or that

That's really a tough one, I honestly believe the V1's are the best bang for the buck price/power wise. That said, if I had to.....probably the Lexus isF.

Isn't the RS4 you mentioned in the price range of the V2?

An older rs4 like a b5 or b6 can easily be found for under 20k.

I'd be scared to touch an RS4 that goes for under 20K...

    For me, 03 Cobra

    Re: V1 or that

    Here's what I actually factually cross-shopped:
    New Focus ST
    07ish WRX
    09 135i
    07 328i
    02ish 530i/540i/M5
(go ahead and punch away, have had several BMWs and will have more!)
    C209 CLK 430/500/55

The V1's really have a unique performance/lux/style/rarity, plus a manual transmission. As soon as I leaned into the throttle, into a turn, I was sold.

Audi's and especially the older rs4 can be a nightmare to maintain. People will sell them cheap the first time they get a $7k+ repair bill lol. I'm not scared of German cars, my brother bought a 05 A6 for $22k, it was in beautiful condition, just needed some Mechanical TLC. After about $4k in repairs he still has a great car.

I'd much rather have a BMW (or an MB) than some trash Audi.

I had thought about an STI wagon or a legacy GT both with manual transmission of course. Totally different in some ways but similar in others.
