I'm signed up and really excited to go. Anybody else going to be there?
Does anybody have any tips or suggestions about running at Road America?

I put ATE in last year, but I've read recently that the condition of the fluid is more important than the brand. What's your suggested fluid. I currently have a unopened can of Valvoline DOT 3/4 fluid which I planned on using.

[QUOTE=Andringa;10704377]Haha, I was low enough on fuel at BIR last year to stall it coming out of turn 3. Hopefully I learned my lesson.

My first event at Road America I ran out of fuel about 3pm the 1st day in T3 and on the second day same place just before lunch break.
I really like the Castrol SRF brake fluid and use it for power steering and clutch fluid. Have fun and safe event.
let me know if you beat 2 minutes 40 second lap time with stock motor and no headers. But be careful because the cars usually pack up into a freight train when MVP is at Road America. Safety first!

SRF for power steering?
I use SRF because I'm a brake killer, but any of the assorted popular DOT4 fluids (ATE, Motul, etc) should do the trick. The SRF is megabucks and probably overkill for most folks.
After dying a couple of times on track from fuel starvation (despite having plenty of gas in the tank), I now keep the "Fuel Used" selected on the Nav display. At 10gal, I pull in. I even got some fuel starvation before 10gal used at my last event, so I might have to back that off even farther.'05 Stealth Grey CTS-V, 19x8.5/10" CCW T140s with Toyo Proxes T1 Sports (summer), black Team Dynamics ProRace 1.2 wheels with 275/35-18 R-compounds (track), Hyperblack Rota Torques (winter), KW Variant3s, V2 front brakes, Hotchkis rear sway bar, EPS cam, TEA-ported 243 heads, FAST92 intake w/LS2 TB, JBA Camaro/G8 1-3/4" shorty headers w/JBA cat pipes, Corsa exhaust, UUC motor and tranny mounts, UUC shifter, MAPerformance trailing arms, Specter cradle bushings, etc...
