    Re: Refreshing the radio

I took apart all the trim and used plasti dip. It matches the interior pretty well I'm curious to see how it holds up. If it doesn't I will take it back apart and maybe get it all hydro dipped or use Trim paint.

The knobs and right buttons were chipped if it doesnt hold up well I will grab new buttons altogether for next time. Didnt worry about it to much since the left side buttons werent chipped at all.

Will grab some pictures put back together in the next few days. I missed a step walking downstairs with the radio heard a pop and well now I cant walk. Radio is fine though thank god. I can heal but now spending 500-1000 to replace that damn thing

    Re: Refreshing the radio

I tried to buy just the buttons but they would not sell them to me. I had to send the face plate to them and they replaced them. I shipped it next day service on Wednesday , they repaired it Thursday and sent it back next day air. The charge was a $120 min service charge and $17 return shipping. I tried to have the clear lens replaced but they wanted an additional $50 but I had a piece of lexan here so I cut my own.

    The Lcd or the glass/protector?

The above post mentions they cut a new piece of glass/plastic to fit. It comes out very easy

You can get enough from this sheet to do 4 maybe 5 pieces.

I haven't put the radio back in the car yet but I don't believe it will be an issue.
