The more the merrier...there have been a couple of drops but a couple of adds. As for having to bring something? nada. Lunch is between the Corsa and Mallett facilities tour and is conveniently located between them as well. I suspect some will stay the night, others will bail when they have to. I should be there from noon - 6p. Evenings festivities are many. There are plenty of things to do downtown (W. 6th St. is a fav party location) G. Lakes Brewerey is on W 25th and is a nice place for a beer and food. Dont know if the tribe are in town but thats an option. There is a local Sat night cruise in a few exits south (Rt 303 - Brunswick exit at the Kmart parking lot just W of the exit) that there are a ton of cars at...could be an option.

If you cant get to Corsa by 12N for IRL intros and plant tour...we have a reservation at Tony K's restaurant (youll pass it on the way to Corsa, its on the S side of Bagley Rd.) at 1p for lunch. After lunch its off to Mallett for that tour.

I wonder how many of the other forum members going to the Ohio meet spent last evening detailing the V. Are we sick puppies or what? |

Big thanks go out to the organizer (Dave aka Florian), Jim Browning Jr, Chuck Jr, Chuck Sr and Lance Mallett for graciously presenting their facilities to the V+1goat(Norm, why do I keep thinking of "Cheers"?) group.
Jim - I think I understand your simplified explanation of the concept of sound cancellation and I know it works as proven with my exhaust, but it still sounds like hocus-pocus. Too many frequencies and only a couple channels.
Chuck - That's one impressive shop. As shown by all the V's you have on the floor and in the queue, a bunch of people are going for Mallett V's. Maybe after my youngest is out of college in 3 years I can think about it, until then I'll just visit your shop and drool. Great explanation of wheel hop and how the system of the diff and suspension come into play. Hope you get your V back together. Yeah, stealth is the word, but it will be tough to hide the sound of 1200 bhp in that little black bitch.
Lance - You owe me two fillings that the 427 vette growl knocked out of my teeth. Hey Harley Guy (aka Steve), did the exhaust singe the hair on your legs too?
Chuck Sr - You're absolutely correct. Too many guys look at numbers only and miss the point. The proof is on the track and not the dyno. But if your ass end is out of kilter, the dyno will show that.
Sorry I had to bail early but really enjoyed the trip. We need to do this again.
Thanks again

Thanks go out to all that attended...I personally had a great time meeting every one of you (Pittsburgh Crew, Steve from Cbus, Ginnie from Astabula, Tony, Norm and all the way from Bethesda, MD Carl Rowan. We have some great pix to show of all 7 V's and the GTO that were there (as soon as my buddy from Detroit gets home to host.) To recap: we met at Corsa..Jim Browning, Jr. gave a very compelling tour on how the exhaust for the V (and their other products) came to be and how it is made. It is truly a finely engineered product. Jim knows of what he speaks and they have a great product as a result. Thank you, Jim...you were great! Next off to lunch for some friendly chat and getting to know each other...(we have some corporate honchos in our ranks!) Carl is a Chief of Police back in MD!!!!! We grubbed some lunch and afterwards headed over to Mallett Racing and man it was AWESOME. We were kids in a candy store (very expensive candy) there were exotics there that were being massaged (Mosler) boatloads of V's getting some major steroid injections, plenty of Vette's and Z06's there. Chuck gave us about 2 hours of his time and was a very gracious host. His father and brother were also there and they allowed us to touch, sit, play dabble whatever in the cars. There was an XLR that was getting 1000HP of goodness pumped into it. I hope someday to be a customer...these guys are GOOD and they KNOW their shizzle! Thanks you Chuck, Lance and Chuck Sr. we appreciate your hospitality. There were door prizes for distance travelled (Carl won a Mobil 1 sticker, thanks CVP33) and Ginnie won for only female in the group! (GM Performance label, thanks CVP33). It was over about 5p so all in all it was a long but enjoyable, informative, friendly afternoon that I hope we can all do again sometime soon. Thanks again to all that attended...
All the best!
