    Mallett mini-tubs

A new job means I'll finally have the funds for a V after being laid off 4 times in the past 10 years....

There are a couple of Mallett cars on ebay and while I'm more interested in a DD at this point, some of there stuff is worth looking at.

A quick visit to Malletts website shows a mini-tub option with new "z arms" for the 1st gen V. Anybody ever see any of these?????

    Thanks!

Mallets are a ripoff IMO. For that kind of coin you could do A LOT more than what you pay them for.

x2!!!! Like a professional twin turbo install or an all-motor beast build.

    Re: Mallett mini-tubs

There have been a few Malletts on ebay over the years claiming to have mini-tubs. They're still listed on the Mallett website...look towards the bottom of the page....If you look long enough, you'll notice that Mallett is claiming a 12" rear wheel will work on the tubbed car.

Neither one of the Mallett cars currently listed claim to be tubbed but in my book, they're worth an extra 5k over a standard V but you're right, not such a great investment new. To bad my bank doesn't agree.....

The first listing has a picture of the modified spindle they offered. Any idea what the benefit of that might be?? Tire clearance maybe???

Cool cars, but damn those prices... It says the modded spindles accept 275s up front

I'd jump on that one for 27,500 but my bank will only lend like 18k on it.

Modded spindles are clearanced at the top to allow wider tires. Pictures 21 & 22.
