    Starter Heat Wrap ?

My starter was replaced recently. What is the best method to protect it ? Wrap it with heat wrap, or I know they have the heat "bag" that goes over it ? Where do you recommend buying from ? I've seen them at AutoZone and so does Summit Racing. Does either option require removing the starter ? Thanks.

Answering some of my questions =) I found a few on Summit; should I get the one with metal straps, or the Velcro ?

I did the velcro one from summit, cut it to the size of the starter, put it on and also ran a few lines of safety wire around it to help hold it on as well.

    Re: Starter Heat Wrap ?

All done. I bought the DEI wrap but was not able to use the velcro since I wrapped the motor and the solenoid separately. I was going to wrap the whole starter in one wrap but I was nervous about the metallic wrap and the end of the main power cable that attaches to the end of the solenoid.
