Re: I'm looking to raise the rear end...

A strut can affect ride height to a little bit, but a shock shouldn't. In either case, the springs are mainly responsible for the ride height. But since you've got a very different rear end, my suggestion is to go back to stock with the dampers and the springs to see where you stand. If the ride height (which we still don't know, as we have no pictures or measurements to go by) is too low, then the springs aren't stock (or are stockers that have been cut).

Re: I'm looking to raise the rear end...

The original thread on this car http://www.cadillacforums.com/forums...ought-one.html said it had adjustable drag shocks. That typically means a set 90/10 (70/30 or 60/40) shocks up front and a set of 50/50 shocks in the rear, all to facilitate weight transfer. If the rears are stock, and the fronts are QA1s, the fronts may conceivably be "drag shocks."

The fronts are the QA1s, what is on the rear atm is unknown. I don't have any spare springs, but I'll get pics to you guys as soon as I get the car back.

Car is still at the shop, progress is being made, but in the meantime I am doing some research. The GC kit sounds pretty good, not sure what spring rates yet, or what shocks I'll use, but I found the a good price on the kit here:

I'm a little concerned about the maker of the CTS-V though... lol
