    New owner of 05 CTS-V

Just got a 05 CTS-V, 72,000 miles. BLK/BLK. Love it so far. Noticed it ran hot while driving in city, but not the 70 or so miles home from picking it up. Had it up to 134mph. Coolant level looked good.

Also, the alrm seems to not be working.

Former owner of a 2003 Deville w/ carriage top. recently sold and a 98 Eldog ETC

    Appreciate any/all rep ies

Run through the gauge readings and record the temps along with the oil pressure. Sometimes an air bubble can get trapped in the coolant and cause high coolant temps - if that is the case, vent and fill. If you have something other than a factory tune check the AFR and make sure you are not too lean and also the timing. The coolant is the easiest route to check first - then replace thermostat.
