Go have the code read before you go replacing parts. As I see it, right now you don't know what is wrong. It could be the sensor and it could be the cat itself. There are 4 or 5 different fault codes just for rear ("sensor 2") oxygen sensors. Reading the codes will tell you exactly what needs to be done.

    Re: Oxygen sensor Smog fail

Good morning guys. Thanks for the insight and willingness to help out!
@joshuajohn - So far the dealer is working with the smog station and they are replacing the O2 sensors at the dealer's cost. I will wait for the reinspection today and see if that was the issue or if a new cat is needed. If so, I hope the dealer will accept the onus again(like you said). As far as this weekend's cruise, I won't be able make it. Are you coming up here for the Grand Prix festivities? Should be fun...
@RyRides - Dude, thanks for the offer, and if it comes to that I'll hit u up. Way cool to see how you guys rally for the cause! Where are you at?
@D3l7 - I'll let you know how it goes today. If it passes, I'm hoping you'll be around this Saturday to go through the car with me and maybe see what else I can upgrade, repari, replace. I am glad to see you've already replaced motor mounts, bacause I am thinking I'll be doing that right away.
@Bacon - Yes, it is "as is", but my understanding is it is their responsibility to have a registerable(?) vehicle, which here includes smog.
    Thanks again guys!!

    ----------

@PIS - I have to believe the Smog inspector is reading the correct code, otherwise he'd be taking the dealer for a real ride replacing the wrong part.

    Fingers are crossed! :/

Glad the dealer is doing their due diligence. Good luck. It'll be worth the wait, you'll love this car!

I thought the cats are under a 10 year 100k mile warranty? Take it to the dealer under the warranty.

Has anyone else taken out their blue revshift mounts after they've had some use?

I think it's down in SD

liqidvenom, any chance your V is black...

I'm wondering when I'll run into the owner of the black V i tried to start a traffic slalom with a few months back. (605s to 405s to the 22. they didn't go for it.)

PISNUOFF managed to liberate the cores from their repressive polyurethane shells. with the motor. I'm not worried about mine, I'm pretty sure his ...conditions are unique. revshift has updated their motormount cores since/as a result iirc

[yes i've been up all night. I think I aced my physics midterm last night, and eliminated the curve. still feeling amped over it]

    Re: Oxygen sensor Smog fail

    UPDATE:
The O2 sensors(bank 1) passed, BUT now the O2(bank 2) sensors are flagging... Once again the dealer is replacing them, so unfortunately smog will be delayed another day, however the more repairs the dealer antes up, the better!
@D3l7 - congrats on the midterm!
