    Bad belt tensioner(s)?

Hey guys. After spending the weekend changing out my radiator with a new Alradco and changing my belts since it was convenient ('04 with around 84,000 miles), I put it all back together and saw that my serpentine belt tensioner had a little shake to it. I ordered a new one and just finished putting it in, but this one seems to have basically the same shake. Is a defective part the only possibility? The harmonic balancer looks smooth, and I could get a video if it's necessary. Thanks for all the advice in advance.

It can have some shake longitudinally as it is spring loaded for that purpose. It should not wobble laterally. Finally, it is a good idea to replace the tensioner periodically.

Thanks for the information. I was watching videos of other LS engines where the tensioner was completely still. Glad to know the car is good to go. Thanks again.
