D3 Competition Sedan ready to hit track this weekend!!

We are putting the finishing touches of the D3 Competition Sedan and getting it ready for the 2013 Cadillac Challenge series. We look forward to seeing some of you at the Auto Club Speedway in Fontana, CA this Saturday.

Here is an image of the vehicle last time out at the track. We added some off-season goodies that should help the overall performance of the car.

    Thank you,

    Dr. Design

What are you running in terms of transmission? Rebuilt T-56? Stock linkage?

It's a hybrid trans. We are using T-56 casing with T-6060 internals with various modifications and revisions.

We blew up the old T56... too much power.

    Thanks,

So you basically did the $2900 Magnum route? We've got a group of guys on the LS1Tech forums wanting to either rebuild our existing transmissions, or somehow adapt our linkage to the Magnum. Any fitment advice that you can provide would be greatly, greatly appreciated. Also...close ratio or wide ratio?

Re: D3 Competition Sedan ready to hit track this weekend!!

Similar...certainly not exact. We went with a tight 1-4 and a tall 5-6 gear set. Not sure about the linkage as the techs were dealt the task of getting everything to mate up properly. Our combination isn't very stock anymore. We fabricated a custom ford 9" IRS with custom length driveshaft.

    Thank you,
