The G37 is a sheep in wolf's clothing.

Yes, it will embarrass a stock V1 from a dig. But that quickly gets boring to someone who is a driving enthusiast.

My 05 went to right at 80k miles and really didn't NEED to be replaced....but since I had done the fluid changes and whatnot at the dealer they replaced mine since I only had about 3k left on GMPP. It was kinda noisy but that was it....

Oh and almost 20k miles of hardness once I got it.

I paid 22k for mine about 14 months ago. 1 owner etc... Plus it's the fastest color!!

I need to chime in on this. I'm a Japanese sports sedan nut. Specifically, I'm way into Subaru WRX STIs. I've owned two (back-to-back, over the last six years). I'm a fanboy. I've gone to Subaru meets, races, etc for years. But let me tell you, there is nothing either of my subbies had that could hold a candle to my V. I'm being completely honest. I wouldn't have sold them and purchased a V if it wasn't the case. V is faster, more comfortable, cleaner interior, etc etc.
I think I'll never be without a V in my garage. Period.

I completely agree. Essentially I was saying I'd have a tough time paying close to 30k which is what some sellers are asking for their V1s, compared to the newer competition. Now, if someone really loves a V, no price is too much. Buy what you love and enjoy.

I don't think I've ever heard a Subaru fan say that any car could be better than a Subaru. Bravo sir, bravo.

Agreed with bold, disagreed with underlined. LOL Even from a dig, it won't embarrass a V1 owner unless the V1 owner embarrasses himself.

    Amen!

I can totally understand what you were saying. Yeah, 30 G's is certainly a large wad of money. I completely agree, and, frankly have never spent that kind of money on a car. However, that said, if I had enough money that I could afford a brand new V2, I'd buy one in a heartbeat, even at the nearly 70K price tag.

Hmmm....You guys are leaning on me pretty good. I think I might steer clear of the higher price tag and look for something more in the low 20k range. Go with a few more miles, not worry so much about the rear end. Though I would love to still get an 06 or 07 for peace of mind wit hthe warranty still there for a bit.

I do enjoy where the discussion went in this thread though. Informative, even if on a mostly subjective level. Continue on.......

I paid 22 for mine with 35k if that gives you a reference. 2 months ago

Ok, to qualify my post, I was thinking G35x (which is what my boss has) It jumps off the line hard. You should know by now that you cannot launch a V without some serious drivetrain mods.

I can hook pretty well on the street... On the track, I'd need a broom and dustpan for what would happen after. LOL
