Changing driver's side corner headlight (LED)?

So I searched and found a couple threads on how to change the headlights, specifically the little LED marker light in the corner. A few of the threads say it's possible to change the driver's side bulb without taking off the valance, but there's not any detail. Any one done it that way (without taking of the front fascia) and have pointers?

    Thanks.

You have to take off the front wheels and remove the inner wheel well liner. You can feel up to where the bottom of the headlight is. There's a large (3-4" diameter), round, gas cap-like door that you have to twist to open. Once you do that, you can change the corner bulb. If you want to get to the actual headlamps, you'll have to pull the front fascia off. The back of the headlight unit has a similar twist cap/door for each bulb.

Here's a picture of the cap:

Btw, once you get the wheel well liner out (hint: use a big flat blade screwdriver to unlock the plastic fasteners) you'll just have to grope around up there. The following bumper removal guide is overkill for what you're looking to do, but it'll give you an idea of what you're looking for.

    Specifically, note this image:

That's what you're going to have to grab (mostly blindly) from the wheel well. Give it a solid twist, and it'll pop off. If memory serves, you have to twist the light fixture within in the same way that you twist the sidemarker light fixtures to pull them out of the housing. Once out, put the new light in the fixture, reinsert the fixture, and twist the other way to lock it back up.

Re: Changing driver's side corner headlight (LED)?

So Fuzzy's directions were excellent and it took me all of a few minutes to swap the bulb...

It's not the bulb. Or at least the new bulb isn't lighting either.

I've never had that happen before. Any suggestions on where to look next? I doubt the parking light is individually fused, so I'm worrying that this will end up with a lot of individual tracing of wires. Please say it ain't so.
