Back in the day, Flyboy (Jimmy) ran almost exactly that ^^^, too. IIRC, he had LT headers, a FAST 90 intake and TB, plus a Katech torquer cam on drag radials.

I think high 12's is easily obtainable with drag radials and a few mods

Ok i was curious. I had a feeling it was doable. My best so far is 13.4 stock tires, stock car. I believe my 60' was 2.2. Im still new to launching a car. I usually drag my sportbike.

You should be able to get 12s in stock form. But that's with favorable conditions (cold weather, near zero DA, etc). I ran a 13.15 @ 111 with only a CAI. But I'm afraid to launch the car hard enough for a good 60 ft. I think my 60 ft on that run was a 2.18.

    That's a fantastic stock time/speed. I'd bet there're few better.

I figured it should be possible. A buddy of mine with an STI ran 13.0 at 103 mph. But he had a 1.8 60' how were you launching to get that 2.18 60' i feel tires would be fast if u didnt grenade ur diff haha.

My focus would be suspension on this car. A nice subframe kit on a unibody frame like the CTS should work wonders.

I was under the V yesterday, and thinking the same thing. I don't like the button-up tack welds used for cars... not sure what they're called
