3 dealers later... no one can find part number... PLEASE HELP!

I am looking for the part number for the plastic piece that attaches under the headlight... too the headlight... that helps hold up the bumper cover. I have it on one side but don't on the other (bought the lights from 2 different places) one had it, one didn't. Both headlights have the holes for it to mount though...

I think it's part of the headlight. Pm rippyparts (chris). I'd like to know too..

I got my 2004 headlights replaced in 2008 and was told the style without the plastic piece ended in 2004, hence the bumper sag you often see. My bumper still sags so I wonder if I got the updated lights.....

I need to modify mine somehow so they hold the bumper better, and bring the whole bumper up about 1/4 inch so the gap between the top of the grill and hood is smaller...

Thanks for the advice. I am "TRYING" to install a VIP bumper cover. I need that support... because my fiberglassing skills are not up to spec... How do you PM people on this forum. I couldn't find it anywhere. I went on his profile and didn't see anything. Thanks for your help!

I would be extremely surprised if you could find that piece of plastic as a separate part. It's just part of the headlight assembly.

Strange that your headlight has the holes for it but the piece isn't there. My passenger side headlight does not have the bumper support piece, but there's no sign of any way to mount it even if I were somehow able to find one.

You don't have enough posts. Normally you just click on someones name and the private message option is available. And I agree with getting in touch with Chris (Rippyparts..). Give him your VIN# and he'll find it if its available.

So, what you're saying is that you're looking for the part number for the plastic piece that attaches under the headlight that helps hold up the bumper cover, that one of your headlights has it but the passenger side doesn't (because you bought the lights from 2 different places), and that both headlights have the holes for it to mount though?

Create one yourself out of sheet metal? That's what I'd do anyway..

Looks like it'd be a pretty cake-easy part. Mirror image the other side's profile and put a jog bend into it. Add a couple holes and you're done. If you used 16 ga. stainless you could probably even bend it in a bench vise with pliers.
