    Too loud to you might not be loud enough to some of us.

    If you think it's too loud, take it in. Especially if it's under warranty

    The problem seems to be heat. Too much heat and these things will whine like crazy. I wrapped the exhaust pipes near the differential with some DEI heat shielding and I can barely notice the whine now. Summer time + traffic + exhaust temps = whiney diff

    Mine didn't just whine, it howled. Loud enough that you had to turn the radio up really loud to completely drown it out. And it was in 4/5/6. They replaced the carrier under warranty. That was around 10k, I think. Maybe sooner. It was funny, because in less than 1000 miles, it went from no whine at all to that. I put another 8000 miles on the new diff and it was still quiet.
