Pulled The Trigger....05' V in garage!

Picked up the Black on Black V today. It came in yesterday, it needed to be detailed and gone through, so I picked it up today. It had 5 miles on it, by 7 after they went and filled it up with gas.

Hmmmmm since I'm a lunatic for basic Mods....
    B&B w/ res...
    DTE tuning...
    CAI (once Stealth's is ready)...
Cags (already ordered it last night)...
    WIndow Tint...
and.... Lots & Lots & Lots of Zaino...

That should be enough for me to do... this week ...hehehe

Congrats on your new baby. I just got mine last Friday. I spent all day Sunday cleaning and Zainoing. It is one awesome piece of machinery.

I pulled the trigger too, but so far I've only laid down the $500 deposit to get the "V" on order. I've probably got about 4 weeks to go before mine shows up.Told myself for years that I would not buy a stick with all the traffic out here in the San Francisco Bay area, but after one quick test drive, I decided I just had to have it. It made the plain CTS feel a little weak. Damn, I'm getting excited. I know about the CAGS eliminator, but what is CAI?
    Thanks

Re: Pulled The Trigger....05' V in garage!

thanks for all the "congrats" guys.

Day 2 and I love it even more. It Just went over 200 total miles today, started with 7 yesterday.

The funny this is, even though I'm doing the Cags mod, I seem to not be forced too much into 4th gear, must be the grin and the heavy foot that keeps me above the rpm threshold.

The only time driving a stick in traffic (I live in the bay area) bugs me.... is if I'm sick, or real tired (both are kinder ways of saying hung over ). Other than that, makes sure you have a good quality cell phone headset because it is a pain in the A$$ to shift, dial and talk all at once.

    VinMan out....

Re: Pulled The Trigger....05' V in garage!

Thanks for all the great information. I can't wait to get my "V". It really sucks to just grab a beer and look at the pictures. I want to get back in and feel the power of the V8. Not that my 1986 3/4 ton Suburban isn't an absolute joy to drive...with all the noises and rattles and broken stereo and stained carpet and broken trim pieces, but I think the "V" will be better.
