    DRL out, but it's not

A friend of mine told me my driver's side DRL was out, so I got out and looked at it. He was right. So I tried the turn signal. Bulb came on and blinked fine. When I shut the turn signal off, the DRL stayed on, matching the passenger side one. Fairly often now it seems like only the passenger side comes on when I start the car, but after a single use of the left turn signal, the driver's side "wakes up" and works fine. Any ideas?

Re: DRL out, but it's not

are you the original owner? maybe someone disabled the DRLs and then rewired them back, now it's flakey.

just clip/bend the DRL pin in the module and be done with it. not a fan of the DRL look on these cars anyway.

I don't believe he did, but I can find out. Maybe I should look into disabling them because you're right, I guess these cars don't look that great with the amber DRLs.

I performed the DRL disable procedure here: http://www.cadillacfaq.com/faq/answe...drl/index.html

I broke off the H pin, rather than cut the wiring harness. DRLs are no more and everything else seems to work, so perhaps I am done with this.
