I am glad I checked out the V1 forums....you guys have move going on the the V2 side. I would love you link up with you sometime late spring to hit the ring. I am down in Stuttgart and have been waiting for the weather the clear myself....that and the fact I tore my knee snowboarding.
Wow....I had no idea there was a V2 that close to me over here...looking forward to linking up!

BTW...if the weather is nice on Sat or Sun (supposed to be 45-50 and no rain)....I plan on throwing some coats of Zaino on the V and hitting the Hooters in Neunkirchen....near Saarbruken...about 30 mins west of me and about 10 mins from France.

I know that's a little ways for you....but you could make a day out of it and hit the "Big BX in the Sky" at Ramstien while you are down this way? I'll PM you.....

Re: The Ring and Amsterdam w/ LOTS OF PICS!!!!

I went to a car detailing place today to get an estimate for a small scratch on my buddy's 135i M.....and to my amazement he really had some nice cars in he tiny "hole-in-the-wall" shop.

BTW....the old German guy only uses Swizol wax and did a small demo of how he applies the wax on my buddy's hood....pretty impressive stuff....has anyone ever used the wax?

Anyways....below are some pics of the shop and the cars....enjoy.....

The Audi had a real carbon fiber rear diffuser....pretty impressive....

Notice the real carbon fiber hood on the M3?

    Another M3 in the shop....

A M5 waiting to get waxed.....

Below the detailer is applying the last coat of wax by hand on my buddies BMW? I didn't believe that it was supposed to be applied like that....so I asked to see the container....yup...apply by hand?!

Nice so there's a little V community in Germany. I am located in Bamberg about two hours north east of Stuttgart. We all should link up one of these days when the weather is better?

    Met,

Do you know what your buddy paid for the detail? I am looking to get one done next month.

Re: The Ring and Amsterdam w/ LOTS OF PICS!!!!

The full blown detail is about 350 Euro and takes 2 full days....super pricey....but by the cost of the Swizol wax according to the detailer....about $1100 a jar....and he uses 3 different waxes....some type of a liquid sealer and that hand wax/sealer......350 Euro isn't relatively too pricey?

I'm sure some detail guys could chime in and let us know if the Swizol treatment is worth it. Anyways....by the quality of cars he has in his stable....he must be doing something right!

Nonetheless...he recommended to bring the car in after the last snow and salt....so about the last week of March at the earliest.

What I was thinking. 350 for two days. That isnt bad at all no counting the current Euro Rate.

    Met,
There is a car show down here in Stuttgart on the 12th. PM or email me if you are interested and I will shoot you the details.

Re: The Ring and Amsterdam w/ LOTS OF PICS!!!!

Cruised out to the "local Hooters" down the way....snap a few quick pics before it got too dark....

On the way back...was crusing on the A6 Autobahn back to K-Town at a sustained 135mph.....and in my rearview mirror I caught a car with some BRIGHT low HIDs gaining on me....I pull over to the "slow lane"....and guess what I saw. A sexy late model yellow Vette...gave THE nod at 135 mph....and then he was GONE! Damn that was sexy Vette....

    GOD BLESS DETROIT MUSCLE!!!!

Bad-ass....where will you be picking the V up at?

BTW....do you have window tint? If so...the front windows have to come off....I tried everything....bribed...everything...these Germans don't play....

Re: The Ring and Amsterdam w/ LOTS OF PICS!!!!

No window tint, the car had a nice 10% tint when I bought it and the morons in Maryland made me take it off. I figured I'd just leave it off because I knew I'd get hassled in Germany anyway.
