Damn, I wish my car looked that good. I've got so many scratches and dings...and today I was pleased to find a nice new 4" long deep scratch in my rear driver side door; no idea how it got there. I need to just take a weekend, break out the sand paper and the polish, fix all these blemishes and get the car looking nice and sharp.

Met's pic looks like it should be in a Cadillac brochure. Awesome.

If I get a chance this evening (between watching the news and press conferences of the dead terrorist )....I'll see if I get some time to tweak the pic a little for you.

Sounds like a plan. I'm going to need to break out the touch up paint and sand paper to fix this friggen scratch on my driver side. I was able to use some compound to smooth it out a little, but I can see it's going to need to be filled and sanded to even look acceptable.

Didn't you have a nasty scuff on your car? Who did you bring it to?

There is a place in K-Town that will fix of it for up rather inexpensively (Autopflege Lukas - 0631-3508680 ask for Mike)....

Also...once they mix the paint they'll touch up the entire V w/the leftover paint for the quoted price of the original repair....

Great shop....the shop manager Mike "hablas ingles" pretty well too....plan on a day turn over....

I took it to Auto Hollmann in Kastel and he said it would be about a grand to fix the scratch. I think that's a little nuts. I'm going to sand it out and try to fill it and wet sand it down myself before I pay someone, but I might end up taking it all the way down there if I have to.

Re: The Ring and Amsterdam w/ LOTS OF PICS!!!!

Whoa!.....way too much....the German dude just saw a Caddy in his bodyshop bay and went on the high-side.

Give me a pic of the scratch and I'll show it to Mike.....guarantee he'll beat that ridiculous price of a $1k.

BTW...while the car is getting worked on....we can go hit "the spot" in Landsthul!

Also....Roz was concerned about your issue w/the V too.....so this message is approved by her as well!

Re: The Ring and Amsterdam w/ LOTS OF PICS!!!!

Glad to have the sympathy. Not sure he saw the Caddy and went high, I think he might just be expensive overall. He has a euro-spec CTS he uses as a loaner car, so it's not that foreign to him. He's the GM specialist I was telling you about, and the self-proclaimed "best body shop in Kastel."

I'll try and get a picture of it tomorrow.
