Yup....sure have. It's called the LCD BackPak ($79)....and it attaches to the back of the standard HD GoPro.

I just bought the LCD last week....I pretty much can't use the camera w/o it now....highly recommend.

It sure did....you saw first-hand how crappy my PC played that video....

No second camera yet....but did you see that GoPro now has a 3D version that puts two cameras in a mount and then records the video in HD 3D?!?!? So for less than $500....you can now record HD in 3D. Good thing I got this Mac.....I couldn't imagine my poor PC trying to splice TWO HD streams into a 3D video.

Yep, I saw that link you sent. To be honest, I'm not super crazy about "3D" videos so I don't find it that exciting, but I might order two cameras anyway so I could try it. I'm mainly interested in mounting one on the gages and the other out the window.

I've got a little time...I'm sure I don't want to film my first few laps on the ring...

i can't stand the push for 3D these days...
i'd much rather have higher quality (4k) than 3D

but that lcd backpack is really cool...

Re: The Ring and Amsterdam w/ LOTS OF PICS!!!!

A friend of mine who's been to the 'ring a number of times told me today that cameras are verboten. I don't know how strict they are about it, but it's kind of a bummer to hear that. I'm sure I'll still find a way to sneak the camera somewhere in the car.

yeah it would be pretty easy to hide a GoPro ... they're so tiny

i bet that the owners of the ring want extra money if you're going to film (licensing etc)

Um...yes. I was thinking about "hiding" it in front of the rear view mirror or something. I think they'd see that as you pull up to the gate.

I could understand you not wanting to cut into your mesh grill... If it's possible you could sand the casing and paint it flat black and people will be less likely to notice it. I mean from this picture, it doesn't look terrible. Do you have a picture of the car not so zoomed in? Just out of curiosity is that a night vision camera, or just a camera to toggle on/off with a view (what's the camera do)?

Well unless you're explicitly trying to hide the camera (like I would be) there is no reason to really hide it, other than maybe for personal aesthetic reasons.

It's just a GoPro HD video camera.

I agree - although I was being facetious, which never quite translates on the internet. My bad.
