Why doesn't the DVD unlock code work!? HELP!!

I drive a lot with the family in car and being able to watch a DVD while in motion would def make drives less boring for my passengers. I've tried the unlock code found on this forums FAQ however does not work for me! This is becoming very frustrating, I've even bought the DVD unlock code on eBay (which was same code on FAQ). Can someone please tell me what I am doing wrong. Or even post pics/videos of instructions. All help/input is greatly appreciated. I know this topic has been brought up numerous times. Oh and by the way I own a 2005 Cts-V. Thank you

With the parking brake on, start playing the DVD. Make sure it starts playing and not just on the opening screen, as all controls except volume will be lost. Once the DVD is playing, press the forward seek AND the second from the bottom preset button at the same time, this should bring you to a self diagnostic screen or something. Press it again and it should return to the DVD. Now release the parking brake and the DVD should remain playing. If it doesn't, push the brake in and try again.

Ouch I wouldn't admit that. BTW I have never seen the "screen flicker" talked about in the faq but it does work for me. Like others have said make sure you are past the menu and the actual movie is playing.

Lol, thanks for the input. I feel foolish, I just realized I was pressing the 2nd button from the top right instead of the 2nd button from the bottom right. And no flicker occurs like previously stated. Live and laugh, live and learn

Lol glad you got it. Now leave the ebay seller negative feedback with a link to the faq....he didn't figure it out and I hate to see him make any money off someone elses work.
