On a limited slip differential, such as whats on our V's, when the rear of the car is up in the air, shouldn't the wheels turn in opposite directions when rotated manually?
As in, if I rotate the drivers side forward, shouldn't the passenger side rotate rearward?
an open differential will spin in opposite directions. Think about he spider gears that are in a standard differential, they are what cause the wheels to spin in opposite directions
Thx for the responses I was kinda freaking out about my new diff. Seriously, the way my last three weeks have been goin I wouldn't have been surprised. Diff breaks, driveshaft breaks, freaking CCW wheel cracks, NOW, loud bang from rear when I jumped on it this morning...
end rant...
