Ugly nav screen So our 2003-era nav is ugly, right? Low res, ugly font rendering, etc.
Well, this is the nav on a 2010 Honda Crosstour. Granted it's no Caddy, but I feel a little better that 7 years later a brand new vehicle is sporting something this ugly.
This came from an Edmunds long term update, btw.
Re: Ugly nav screen oh that is bad! you would think with modern tech you would have nice resolution and graphics!! Re: Ugly nav screen these factory nav units are usually from NAVTEQ and the day that Google's android navigation hits in-car (factory installed) units will be the death of the current nav companies.
and this is all on a small phone screen... imagine 7 inches in the dash!
or imagine an iPad!
see also: the Tesla Model S dash and cluster are all screens (the dash is touchscreen w/ google maps)
see other official google maps/navigation videos here Re: Ugly nav screen The plus side of an iPad in the dash, is that if you ever roll over, the screen is still right side up Re: Ugly nav screen .... but you'd be upside down and the screen wouldn't be upright to you, but to the people who come over to either gawk or help you it would be upright for them Re: Ugly nav screen Hondalink Nav's are some of the best factory installed units i've used... had a '08 MDX, and was selling Honda's back in '01 when they 1st had them in the Odyssey, and then started putting them in the Pilot when it surfaced as an '03 model. Now you can get navi in a Civic I think! Re: Ugly nav screen Lolerz!

My aftermarket Pioneer deck in the GTO isn't super pretty either and it's brand new.
