I'm still yet to even get a phone call or an email from them...
Can someone forward a copy of the email they sent to request an invite???
Maybe I was being too polite in mine...
Greg just called you back, if you have that extra pass, I'll take it.
Call me for my info. You have my number.
Looks like I'm a day late! Have fun Greg!
I'll be there Saturday Afternoon. Look for me:
Yeppers, I got the call today from her
She said Sunday still had openings so I took the AM session
See yas up there, just look for the crazy helmet with cartoons all over it...
I was able to get a spot for sunday morning. Any recommendations on hotels in the area?
I tired the lodge but no rooms available. Days Inn has a couple of rooms.
See you there, Junior.
Just got back! Five freakin hours in rain and traffic and I only live 90 minutes away. It's a good thing that I had a great time today playing with the CTS coupe, CTS-V sedan and CTS-V coupe. Talked to John Heinricy for a second or two. Met OldRoadDawg as well! Here are some shots of the V coupe and the swag.
Jess... good meeting you!
Too bad we got assigned to different groups.
It was great to meet and talk with John Heinricy. Too bad he didn't give ride-a-longs...
The rain kind of messed things up a bit but overall a good time. They had some nice cars there including the CTS-Vr that was at VDay3. They had a nice white CTS-V sedan with black wheels and gold calipers that looked pretty badass and a thunder grey CTS-V wagon.
Things that caught my eye were the new rear diff cooler on the V2 and also the new 2 piece rotors...
I would of liked more seat time. (don't we all) 3 laps just isn't enough in those cars. The slalom course was pretty cool but we were only able to do it twice. The 0-60-0 thing was a bit cheesy.
I must be spoiled from V-Days because the event wasn't quite what I expected. Somebody had mentioned Saturday was geared more for current owners rather than Sunday morning which was definately geared towards those people that just bought a V or maybe on the fence to buy one. I thought of it more as a glorified test drive.
Overall pretty cool deal, plus it was free, but I'd love to see a full day event like the SRT Track Experience for V owners
