    Woodward Dream Cruise - August 21, 2010

At the urging of another member here to get things started even though we're about 5-1/2 weeks away, I have to ask, who's coming this year?

Last year, we had about a dozen of us show up. Jon who came all the way from Toronto, Nutz from Cleveland, plus ten of us more local guys all lined up behind JD03Cobra's office building for the get together. (Hm-m ... wonder if the lawn chair I left there is still sitting next to that telephone pole. Oh, well ...)

This is the 16th time this event has been held. Saying it's huge is an understatement. It really starts weeks ahead with cruisers going up and down Woodward Avenue (a tree-lined boulevard with four lanes in either direction) and finally culminates on Saturday, this year the 21st. Here's the official website ...

    http://www.woodwarddreamcruise.com/

So, get your Zaino, Meguire's, Mother's, whatever on your car, scrub those wheels, put some beverages in a cooler, and meet us at a yet-to-be-determined location just off Woodward in the northern suburbs of Detroit on August 21st. You will see more cars of every year and description than you've ever seen before while rubbing shoulders with some fellow V owners. Please: V ownership is certainly not required because first and foremost we're car guys -- if it's cool, bring it ... you are definitely welcome. We can catch up on mods we've done and share info on any issues we're having or upcoming events of interest. Significant others and kids are welcome and encouraged.

    See you there!

I like the way you think Randy! Count me in for sure. Same location should not be a problem! I will confirm as we get a little closer. Woodward is already packed on the weekends...lets do this!

    From last year!

Rand, you hit the nail on the head. Have not yet, but it is on my bucket list. We did the Hot Rod Power Tour for the first time this year and had a blast. When we pulled into downtown Newton, Ia I thought it was 1970 again. Hope to make the cruise.

Ha ha! Welcome to the club!

What do they say? "If they didn't have a _______, there'd be a bounty on them?"

Of course, on the other side of the coin, I once saw a bumper sticker that said, "Grow you own dope. Plant a husband."

maybe Randy can get another spot for our Gf's so they can sit and complain amongst each other about how much time we spend on our cars and why do you what to keep it clean its only going to get dirty tomorrow.
and my favorite one is "why do you keep on buy parts for your car is there something wrong with it"

I'm with the Corvette guys on Wednesday prior on Woodward, then on Thursday over at the Troy Hooters. I can bring my Vette out to the V meet on the day of the cruise (if you don't mind!)

I'd love to see a large gathering of CTS-V's!
