Is the install on this reasonable for a first timer? I'm fairly mechanically minded but I've never done anything like this on my own...
Also read that that bushings on the trans side need to be replaced to completely eliminate the side to side and they can only be accessed with the transmission down, any thoughts on that?
It is about a difficulty of 3 out of 10. Most people are satisfied with replacing only the bushings on the shifter side along with the shifter itself. Then if the trans is pulled for another reason you would replace the other end.
how long i have to wait for the new one if i pay now ??? thanks
I really depends on when the people on the above list return their cores. I would guess about 6 weeks right now.
i install a new one last month i still have the old one tell me what i have to send you
Just the actual shifter itself. I don't need the bushings in the base of it. Thanks a lot. Email me and I'll get to my address. br_1868 (at) hotmail (dot) com
Here is a picture of some that have been returned.
Did you finally get some cores back!! :D 4 cores would make me like 5 on the list. :(
hi i have 2 question if i send mine to you i have my new shifter faster and the shifter gonna be smaller or longer ?? thanks
and you change all the sleeve and bushing ??
Sorry Sam, that was an old picture.
robctsv - you will bypass the entire wait list if you send your shifter to be modified. I replace all the bushings and pivot tube inside the base of the shifter. The knob height will be lowered by 1/2" and the throws will be reduced by about 35%.
That makes me sad.
Brian do you buy cores? I bought your bushings and pivot tube but already had a katech so my core is available if you're interested.
Soooo...provided ls6v sends his core in quickly, am I next on the list? Why can't these guys get their act together and get cores back to you in a timely manner? :mad2:
Would you prefer the paypal as a gift or goods? I am getting an 07 cts-v as soon as i find the right one. Might as well get on the list.
