    Brian, my apologies again for sending you back a UUC shifter. I had no idea it wasn't stock and your shifter was night and day better than the UUC.

    For anyone on the fence about buying one of these shifters it is definitely a must have for the V!

    I dont know what made me more excited, going through the gears or the fact that my radar detector works just as good as the new shifter. thank you Brian, youve brought new joy to an already enjoyful ride!

    Bump this thread for anyone who hasnt upgraded their shifter..yet! Huge difference, very pleased with the outcome. And it can be done without a second pair of hands.

    Vise grips with a couple wraps of electrical tape around the shifter held everything in place. Would have been much easier with help though haha...and if I had jacked both ends of the car off the ground.

    Centerpunch the rivets and make sure you hold the drill straight and the rivets should come right out. Getting to the bolt for the linkage is tight. Its a 5mm allen wrench. Spend the $30 for the bushings. My car has 30k on it and the stock bushings were worn already.
