Here is how to order one of my custom modified stock shifters. The final cost is $110 + your stock shifter with a $75 core charge. I also offer the UUC bushings (that I purchase from Luke and keep in stock) for an additional $30. These make a huge difference and are highly recommended.
1. Paypal either $185 or $215 to ........................ Be sure to include the reason why you're sending me the money and your shipping address in the notes section of the transaction.
2. I'll ship you a modified shifter via USPS Priority Mail (2-3 day shipping). I include detailed directions, a drill bit to drill out the stock rivets, new stainless steel hardware to replace the rivets, a tube of white lithium grease and a tube of lok-tite.
3. Swap out your old shifter with the new one and return your stock one to me. Please try to include the small items attached to the rectangular end, these include two nylon bushings, two rubber seals and one metal sleeve.
4. Upon receipt of your stock shifter I will refund the core charge of $75 via the same Paypal transaction.
Nicccce! I am stoked to get mine, I swear I have to be the next person or dang close...Im going to call and order my bushings today...thanks for the heads up on the socket sizes.
5 mm Allen wrench
13 mm box end wrench
7/16" deepwell socket and ratchet
7/16" std socket (separate ratchet also)
10 mm ratcheting box end wrench
10 mm 1/4" drive deepwell socket
5/16" drill bit and drill
If I pull my shifter and send in, what's the turn time to get it back?
And- whats the turn to wait for a core and ship out at this time? (rough timeframe)
As an FYI for you guys and Brian, I am being deployed in the Air Force the second week of September. I'm not asking to be bumped up on the list but if I don't get it before then, it will be sitting at my home for 5 months before I get back and I obviously won't be able to install / send in my core.
If there is anything you can work out with me Brian to see if I can get mine within a month that would be great. Name is Matt and I think I was #6 on the list last time I saw it...
bump please...need some cores back! just got my new bushing in the mail and cant wait to get this shifter, seems like ive been waiting forever I am sure its worth it. I know Brian is occupied on that sick build of his and also trying to make amends with your hater friend Melissa! that was a really good note she left..
First of all, very glad you're doing this for us all...
Hoping to get mine soon, classes start back up in less than 3 weeks and will have limited time to get to the install done after they start. Don't want to hold up getting the core back for the next guy in line.
Hey there, I am wondering if this would work for my 2005 3.6 6 speed manual tranny. I need to get the nylon sleeve thing replaced anyways so I'm thinking why not upgrade the whole shebang while I'm in there. Do you know if anyone has done your mod in a 2005 3.6 6 speed? Thanks!
Hmm, so are you saying that with mine (the V6 model) I would have to send you my shifter first no matter what? Or would I be able to still do the core replacement type of thing.
You would have to send me yours first no matter what. I would have to take some measurements and make you custom stuff, plus I do not have any base CTS shifters to use as a core.
hey man how are you? im new to the site but have been following you modifying these shifters, I know sure if anything has changed but im interested in having my shifter done, if I remove the stock shifter and sent it to you next weekend, how much money would I be looking at and how long would it take to get her back? thank you man.
O do I still need to order bushings from Luke at Cadillac for the UUC bushings?
Hey. This looks like it is definately the way to go.
Does sending in the shifter and the $185, cover only the stock shifter (wanting to reduce the height of mine, as I've seen in early posts)? If so waht is the additional (both time and money) in doing the additional mod to the stock shifter?
Thanks!

Sorry, I forgot to ask for the "shift-the'shifter" address.
I did the same thing with the email to Luke, called him and had my order in 3 minutes...Bushings arrived in a week if that.
Brian great work, got my shifter installed a couple days ago, and I must say it is much more pleasurable of a drive Ill let you know when I will be shipping the core maybe in the next couple days..
Threw my core back in the mail yesterday, should be back to you pretty fast since it's not leaving the state.
Brian, I accidentally sent you the money for the UUC bushings, please throw that back into the core refund fee.
PS - thanks, shifts are so much crisper and accurate. Still have some side to side slop, but that's probably from user install error, Had a heck of a time getting the right bushing on until I tapered the tip of the bushing. Also - rivets suck. Fought that sucker for an hour or two. Put the bolts in by myself, actually found that to be one of the easiest parts of the job.
Came home and found mine here today and got it installed. Not hard but it helps to have skinny arms when putting those bolts together on the shifter plate reaching around the driveshaft and exhaust. The shifter is very nice and crisp, the shorter throws makes driving much better; before I could do the footwork quicker than the shifting now it is great. My stock bushings on the side rails were still in great condition, very tight, so I'm glad I didn't buy any poly bushings elsewhere. I wonder why some people's wear down faster than others. My car has 101k miles.
Brian one question did you paint it purple or did that come to you as a core like that? Good way to brand your product if so lol...
I'll have my core in the mail back to you on Wednesday.
Glad you like it. The purple is a compromise with my fiancé. It was either powdercoat my calipers purple or paint all of your shifters purple. Guess which choice I made. Haha
Last, and first. You are the only one left on the list.
