Re: Review: PISNUOFF's Custom Short Shifter

So, I received my pissnuoff shifter. I've had it in about 3 weeks now. I know I looked forever for a comparison between it and a uuc shifter. Well, I went from uuc to this, and it's a considerable difference. I changed nothing but the shifter. Uuc bushings were already in there. Shorter shifts, more crisp, and easier shifts. Also, the pissnuoff shifter was painted sparkly purple, which made me giggle. Anyhow, I'd go with Pissnuoff's shifter any day over the uuc! No comparison, his is much better.

Haha. Thanks Willie. The purple is a compromise for my gf. It was either all your shifters or my FAST 102 that was going to be purple.

Just bought a 04 V today and can't deal with the shifter being so long. How far out is the wait right now?

Actually the one thing I have to say about the Hurst is... I wish Hurst just made a heavier knob. The sick knob might be a little heavier which would contribute to a better feel. But I do like the look of a Hurst stick in there.

I have a short shifter in there but if I had the money for it I would be going with the Hurst Kit myself because I think it look awesome!

Me too. I'm sure with a weighted knob it would have a nicer feel to it when switching & going into gear. Does anyone know which weighted knobs out there would fit directly onto the hurst shifters?

Interesting how things just keep disappearing around here. PISNUOFF is temporarily banned due to a typo in another thread. Seems we have some moderators around here trying to be "tough-guys".
    Anyways...
Just wanted to let you all know he will won't be able to respond for a week or so.

I believe the Hurst T-handle is heavier. I'm gonna get one since I'm a fan of the look.

Nah, I've never been a fan of that style ever.

Do any of you know what size the threads are on the hurst shifter?
