Re: Review: PISNUOFF's Custom Short Shifter

Man what I difference this shifter makes! The fun is back! One added benefit is when shifting to 5th and Reverse I don't hit my knuckles on the cell phone plug in the cigarette lighter since the throw is much shorter.

Since this is an improved GM shifter it just kills me that GM could not fix this sloppy shifter design many years ago and make a lot of owners happy. Instead they just kept copying the same crappy design.

to Brian for making a proper shifter.

BTW- my old one is in the mail so the next person on the list can find true happiness shifting the V.

ALL BUYERS - Don't forget to keep sending the old shifters back to Brian unless you want to hang it on the wall in your living room to remind you of the lousy GM design and all the sloppy long shifts you made!

Re: Review: PISNUOFF's Custom Short Shifter

Got my new shifter in the mail today! My V is still at the dealer getting a new transmission (also a new radiator, CS MM/Trans Mount and a few other fixes). I hope to have it back this week which will mean I can install the new one and return the stocker next weekend. With the detailed instructions Randy included and the completeness of his kit, I don't think I'll have much trouble.

    Brian,
Got you shifter on Friday and mailed you my old one on Saturday. It took about 2 hours to install and I can’t believe the difference, WOW what a great mod, thanks.

Re: Review: PISNUOFF's Custom Short Shifter

As a standard, I set the knob height about 1/2" lower than stock. I can lower it up to about 1" if specified. Here is a picture of the height in 1st gear.

Brian, fantastic work on this shifter! This car drives so much better now. This is a must do! I should have my shifter shipped back to you tomorrow if the UPS store by me is open tomorrow. If not it will be back Monday.

All I can say is AMAZING! What a difference the shifter makes! It took about an hour and a half, but well worth it. Make sure you get the bushings. Makes a world of difference. Awesome job Brian! Great packaging and instructions. My shifter is going back tomorrow! (Sat.) Thanks!
