    My Pilgramidge to Mecca

Yesterday I went to the Holiest of all dealerships and had my car worked on. Lindsay is one hell of a place for those who haven't been there. The whole experience was fantastic and I learned alot about the car that I didn't know already.

It's always good to see Luke, but I met Bill and Alex as well as Robert. Mick, I saw your car (qquik4u) and I have to say it looked gorgeous. Sounded really sweet too. I am very jealous of your plate. How did you get the SR-71 Black Bird on it??

The car had a 100,000 mile check up, and swapped out some fluids. Got the UUC motor and trans mounts put on. The car feels so much sturdier and sounds different. I have a small list of homework to complete and a much larger list of hopeful mods for the future.

    Thanks guys!!

Nice! I can't believe you hit 100k already. Hopefully my car has that many miles left in it. Do you plan on swapping out the fluids again before you hit the track, or riding these out until June? The mounts make a HUGE difference in this car. My 1st Generation Creative Steel's MM and TM made the car feel much tighter, and added feel for the car. I think the same "vibration" that people complain about, I am in love with. Did you say you had Luke do the diff bushing too? We need to get another group together for this upcoming V-day (if I get let off the hook of course).

It took you 100,000 miles to get to Lindsay?

Takes me 6 hours to get to Lindsay, so I only go for important stuff. I wish I was closer so I could go for everything. They are the best by far.

I'm nearly 8 hours from Lindsay and wouldn't hesitate to drive the 501 miles for big ticket fixes...

The SR-71 plate is the National Air and Space Museum plate. http://www.dmv.state.va.us/exec/vehi....asp?idnm=NASM I used to have one before I switched to one with an F-14 and and F-18 on it. http://www.dmv.state.va.us/exec/vehi....asp?idnm=ONAS

    Re: My Pilgramidge to Mecca

I think it was 195 miles one way, not 100,000 silly. I left at 330 to avoid the Baltimore DC traffic that added an hour to the trip home.

Vday group... Carlisle weekend / Vday group. I'm leaving here (so far) after work Friday June 25th to get to Carlisle.

    Re: My Pilgramidge to Mecca

My dealer just told me to eff off. No motor mounts under warranty (due too headers) and no rear diff bushing (due to aftermarket axles).

If it wasn't a 2700 miles round trip I would consider driving it. Now, if my diff was going out that may be worth the drive. It's about $500 in gas (round trip) plus hotel. That is better than being stuck with the full $3000 bill.

I sure wish Lindsay was close to me. I'm far from everything cool that happens in the V community.

I am going to be down at Lindsay on this up coming Monday (assuming roads are clear from the snow storm). My clutch kit is going in, along with GeForce Axles.
