It's time to take my car to a polish shop due to the fact that my car has swirl marks on it. Does anyone know a good polisher in the socal area; and a place to buy and install clearbra?
Also, I want to start washing the car by myself now. I had a car cleaning service to do it for me but they added in swirl marks at no extra charge. Since I've never really washed a black car before; What items would I be needing to start washing my car the proper way?
Thanks,
Gilbert |

Envisage Design in Torrance. 310.787.7544 Just had mine done last weekend. Excellent job; very impressive job and shop. Black car and it looks great. All they do is Clear Bra. Ask for Bain, tell him you read about him here. |

I'm not exactly proud it cost a little over $600 bucks but I got a few other estimates and not only were they about the same price ($590 for Illumina (sp?)) not including tax but these guys gave me the best comfort in terms of the quality of work they do. I felt it was a worthwhile investment as my last car (M3) was a magnet for rocks. These guys really spent the time to explain the process, their history, other cars they have done recently, etc. They are first class and they did an excellent job. |

The soap that they use may not be mixed properly and take off your wax not to mention drying it with dirty towels scratching the finish. Handwash your car with a quality "car shampoo", not the $2 special you get a wally world stuff. Examples are Mequiars hi-tech, One grand wash, P21S bodywork conditioner or sonax gloss shampoo. Invest in a high quality microfiber towel. It will dry off your car quickly without scratches. If you are a do it your self kind of person pick up a porter cable 7424 (orbital polisher) and some 3M machine glaze, hand glaze if you want to try it by hand. That should help get the swirls out. Then apply a quality wax and stay away from the automatic car washes. |

Applied Bra to front air dam, front bumper (everything, even wrapped around each side), headlights, driving/fog lights, first 18" of the hood and both side view mirrors. It's actually a 3 piece kit so you can do one, two or all three. | | Cadillac Discussion Tools | | |
