I will most likely be getting rid of the clunky flywheel and clutch this winter and want to know if you all know of any reputable shops to get the clutch installed. |

We need to work on this ... a good (honest) V mechanic, that is.
Say, how long have you had your V?

I would have thought that we should have the most v owners in this area than anywhere else since the car is built here. Thus, their would be plenty of reputable mechanics in our area. I have owned the car since September, so about 2 months. |

Actually, up till now, most guys have just been doing mods and mostly do their own wrenching. But, now that these cars are maturing (mine's five years old this month -- assembled Nov '04), things can start cropping up. Den_93 tells me that my ex-mechanic's dad lives near me and might be interested. I need to make contact.
Hey, soulja, how many miles you got on yours? |

Lol, I don't have any issues with the car at all. I am just considering getting rid of the stock flywheel and clutch. I hate how slow it revs, especially when I am rev matching.
The car has 67k miles on the body, but the engine was replaced at 58k and diff at 54k under warranty by the previous owner. Plus I still have warranty till 100k or 5/2011. |

Come to think of it, they probably know their stuff more than just about anybody, and you'll pay accordingly.
Geez, I'm such a cheap SOB. |

They have a good reputation and like Randy says, you pay accordingly. |

I got the feeling they were taking a mostly generic approach to my V (just another LS motor) and were just overselling themselves and their services. |
