Ipod to XM sound problems

I followed that link to the T, and for some reason it will only play out of my left speaker... I removed a wire, and it started playing only the beat and muffled words in the right speaker, then after a bit it went back to just the left.

also, I am getting no bass to the stock bose subwoofer when it is playing.

Is it my chord?

also what is the cheapest ipod connection system, and it doesn't even have to be an integration system, just so it is perfect sound quality.

Thanks a lot guys,
Nolan

Re: Ipod to XM sound problems

If you want to keep XM, you shouldn't cut the stock wiring... instead, carefully pull back the casing to expose the bare wire and then hook up the stereo cable as discussed in the writeup... and make sure your connections are solid!

Re: Ipod to XM sound problems

that is the thing though. solid connects as well as first just tapping into the wires, then finally fully cutting them, both derived the same result

Re: Ipod to XM sound problems

I had the same thing happen to me. It ended up being my cable.

Re: Ipod to XM sound problems

I used the one from Radio Shack from the FAQ. My sound quality sucks also.

Re: Ipod to XM sound problems

i did this mod a while back. never experienced your problem.. must be the radio shack wire although i used the same one. Try to buy a 3.5 Monster cable off of eBay. Those suckers are solid and gold plated

Right now my sound quality is decent.. 6/10.. decent bass and mids.. BEST Sub $10 mod ever and its really not that hard. i kept my xm too
