Re: ***central indiana v meet sep 26 cheap dyno time!!!***
G8 did. I'll have runfiles and graphs of every car that was there sometime this week. Great meeting all you guys, sucks about Bob's car and my damn nitrous kit at the track (damn random helper kid!). I made 52xwhp/55xwtq on nitrous. I'll have a track time to post when I post about the hendrix econo-axle tomorrow.
Re: ***central indiana v meet sep 26 cheap dyno time!!!***
Sad to say, the axles seem to work ok on the street, but they really did not do well at the track. manciat and I had the pro axles, and still hopped like crazy. And Ted hopped with the econo axle and the kars.
When I sidestepped it at about 3-4k, she hopped like a mofo. However, when I slipped it at 3-4k, the worst I got was some chatter off the line and on the 1-2. not bad at all.
Oh, and 13.55 baby! That's stock. On all-season tires. JimmyH FTW.
Re: ***central indiana v meet sep 26 cheap dyno time!!!***
Oh, and Bob's V is an absolute animal!
11.75, green as hell, with a bum foot was very respectable. Especially considering he was FIGHTING for traction well into third! And considering he is not supposed to be walking, much less racing. And it does suck what happened. Make sure to let us know what the culprit was Bob. Always that one run too many...
But to quote Bob, he was twice as pissed about not getting into the 10s as he was about breaking something
Re: ***central indiana v meet dyno and racing results***
kinda sucks to hear that about the axles, maybe I should have waited on mine till we got some track results. Did you guys hop bad on the 1-2 or 2-3 shifts? or just the launch?
i have a vid of my lone pull on the dyno that ill try and post up when i get a chance, nothing special just some sweet inflated numbers courtesy of that magical dyno lol
Re: ***central indiana v meet dyno and racing results***
I only got a little chatter on the shifts. But then I have never gotten hard hop on shifts, even when I had F1s.
Besides, the axles still work on the street. I was at a stop sign on the way home, no one in sight, and I punched it. From start to bumping the limiter, I was spinning without even a hint of chatter.
Those tracks are so coated with rubber, any tire is going to grip hard. Hence the wheelhop.
Re: ***central indiana v meet dyno and racing results***
Oh and for the record, there was a live-axle Mustang there, and he was getting some intermittent chirp off the line. Not wheel-hop per se, but it sure wasn't pure spinning. Wheelhop seems to be everyone's problem these days.
Re: ***central indiana v meet dyno and racing results***
yea ive had good results with the axles too so far on the street. I just wish I could get some good 1/4 times in the V, but I should probably just give up on that dream.
Re: ***central indiana v meet dyno and racing results***
Still at a motel up by us41 dragstrip, getting ready to head home.
Don't know what is wrong, The rear axle is slipping back & forth sideways with torque. It appears to be drivable if I set a speed & don't add any torgue either speeding up or letting off quickly.
Kind of a frustrating day in that I know the V should have gotten well in to the tens. The only reason is my driving. Gotta work on it
After the first day at the track there is know doubt in my mind this car is capable of low 10's with a decent driver.
1st run was 11.75 @125mph & a 2.00 60'
2nd run was 11.64 @134mph & a 1.99 60'

Re: ***central indiana v meet dyno and racing results***
Thanks guys, that was a lot of fun to see your cars at the dyno. Bob's car is a monster! I wish I could have seen it at the track. That thing is incredible!
Re: ***central indiana v meet dyno and racing results***
For the record on that ^^^ run I only got fuel and no nitrous! I was haiving problems with my damn kit, but they are being worked out right now. I'll be back at the track in the next week to use my damn nitrous kit!
