I think it is about the same. Looks like GM has 10 available to sell before they go on back order.

I installed this a few weeks ago. The install is really easy on the stock shfter stalk or the uuc. It looks much better than the stock V1 knob. Weighs about the same. I love it! I was a little worried being the guinea pig but it all worked out. Thanks Luke!

Do I have to remove the knob from the boot? How do I attach it to my current boot?

IDK. I really like my weighted uuc knob. Not so much when it sits in the sun all day.

So it's easy to stretch over the stock square base? I guess I didn't realize til I looked again that it didn't come with the base too.

It comes with the V2 base which is cut different than ours. But the leather can be heated some to help it stretch over the knob. It's not bad at all. It took me all of a few minutes to do.

You can't just pop the knob off the new leather, and pop it onto your shifter? (UUC here)

Yea that's what I was trying to say. Pop it off the V2 leather then put it on the V1 leather and slap it on your stalk
