Yeah you must be. Unless you're up against Italian cars constantly.
Im pretty stock with magnaflow exhaust, self intake mod, hella track time
List of kills:
Mustang V8 (newest body)
GTO
Lincoln LS V8 (with stick)
EVO
STI
Nissan Silvia (Right hand drive)
Integra Type R (with 60 shot)
Audi s4
Merc s55

Killed by:
c5 Zo6 heavy mod (wow i got owned)
Supra heavy mod (sounded amazing!)
skyline gtR
BMW m6
Porsche caymen s

But most importantly i went up against a cobalt SS recently and i was impressed. For a modern day Neon SRT its got some get up and go. But still i got him hard dont know what your friend is pushing, but if you do lose remember, your car is waay nicer and pulls more chicks!

Re: Cts-v vs. ?

You guys should put up a list of all the tracks these competitive events were held at.

See how much fun you can have when you keep it off the streets?

(And the thread doesn't go POOF)

Re: Cts-v vs. ?

Last time I went to Gateway, in late April of 06, a modded cobalt was running high 12s and low 13s all night long, under humid conditions, 70 + degrees.

Smoked like 5 new 4.6 GTs (treed one) and one stickered 04 GTO (love the car esp 05+).

The best part of the evening was the fact that, the race before one of my runs, a new silver STR-8 ran an .08 slower run. That was the only run of evening of his I caught. Both our cars had temporary plates. I had 4000 miles

In my 100 mile trip to GC/Madison my shifter "got loose." I could put it into any gear and roll coffe can sized circles. I ended up running 14.00s all night long at 104, but shifting like a granny. Took the car in the next day and got it "fixed". Since then, I have put exactly 50,000 wonderful miles (since last night) and I notice the shifter is getting loose again for the third time. Still love the car, The 3.73s and the LS2 make it a hoot to drive, more than the 2000 C5 that sits in the driveway.

Re: Cts-v vs. ?

cmon cobolt

srt-4s... meh... they go out and do their little highway runs.

same thing as a honda with a turbo, just another fwd fi car. Wont do nothing unless they put giant slicks on the front.
