Bigjim, I just don't want to be the guy who all the neighbors shake their fists at! As it is, I scare the cyclists when I come down the street at 3,000 rpm's. |

In a parking lot or some of the back roads near my home, pedestrians and cyclists can't hear me coming and get in the way. boom.

Once those metal jackets are off, your next tune up shouldn't take that long at all.
Removal of the battery and the 3 zip ties that hold the wiring harness to the fuse box on the passenger side helped out a lot. I ended up zip tying the harness to the upper portion of the battery bracket to keep it from falling while i was working. As for the dipstick getting into the way, it only took a very slight bend to get enough clearance. |

Originally Posted by CTSV05 Hmm, it only took Me like an hour with all stock parts.... | The most time consuming part was getting the old boots and shields off. The best way that I found was to rotate the boots on the plugs a little to loosen them up and that wasn't very easy to do since there wasn't enough room. Even with a spark plug boot puller and channel locks, it was a bear at times. But the new boots with a light coating of dielectric grease should dramatically ease removal if I need to do it again. I've always had great results with these brands in the past on a variety of cars and trucks. Due to the fact that they're new and the originals had just over 52k miles on them, the mighty LS6 lights more quickly and is more responsive. |

I did reuse the metal sleeves though. I'm hoping that they don't pose a problem next time. |

Get one (if yo can even get em seperately) coolsox for the drivers side rear wire though. It just touches the header tube.

I didn't reuse mine since they didn't fit over the Taylor Thundervolt 50s. I was actually thinking about removing the coils because there are plenty of sharp points around the coil brackets but I managed to survive. I will do that next time however thats not for another 30k lol |

remove the coil packs, it only takes 5 minutes and it'll let you get your fingers down there.
and to get the job done right you've got to get your fingers in there.
wait, wut?
