I think it looks funny as it stands out too much. I prefer the chrome grill with chrome wheels but JMO. The murdered out look is cool too! Complete that is.

I would def get the grill powdercoated, the edges can only be painted as they are plastic. |

I am going to be blacking out both grilles and felt like powdercoating would be great, but might be overkill, so I am going to paint them, but...I got a quote today from the shop that I use for all the work on my V and they want to charge me $550 to paint both grilles and the plastic chrome trim around the top grille. I am thinking...absolutely no way...I will just do it myself for $20.
I am just wondering if I could spray paint at least the bottom grille with it still in the car (and a lot of taping to keep the surrounding paint protected). I really don't want to have to try and take off the whole front bumper just to get at that bottom grille.

and to paint the trim pieces was $40
so grand total of $80 and it makes a huge difference
