Unfortunately, Ive seen people put bad turbo kits on in the R32 forums and sooner than later....boom! Several of the guys went through thier car insurance and got new motors. Just a thought... |

There seems to be a stigma that you need to have body panel damage to a vehicle to make a claim...I dont think thats the case. |

Rod bolt? My guess is the rod bolts should be fully intact if it failed for any other reason. |

(Geez, they can't be THAT bad ... could they?) | whats that old saying? you get what you pay for? jj.....I would never use one even on a honda, I've seen fram/mobil etc cut open, and I run Mobil 1....other than mobil I would only run an amsoil filter set up...but I also change my oil every 3k with mobil regardless. |

Hopefully GM will stand behind their product and come to the obvious conclusion that there was a defect. But as it was said before, times are just as tough for GM as it is for anybody else in this troubled economy. Did you think about talking to the guys at Lindsay about it? If anyone was to go to bat for me over a big issue like this, it would be the guys over there.

If anyone was to go to bat for me over a big issue like this, it would be the guys over there. | Car brought to local dealer Friday. Plan was to check it out while I was there, so I could flatbed it back home and not have to make two trips. Mechanic came out to look at it while still on the flatbed. He saw the mess but couldn't see the hole in the block. Had to leave it there. He did comment that the low oil switch electrical lead was disconnected. For a second I was , until I remembered that I disconnected ( ) it on the lift at my house to get an unobstructed picture of the devastation. It's pretty clear that the plug is perfectly clean while everything else within 2 feet is covered with oil and antifreeze. We'll see if they use that as part of their excuse. |

(Geez, they can't be THAT bad ... could they?) | Shake a used Fram filter. You will hear the innards inside as they have come apart. As someone on here once said, if you use a Fram (or any other re-badged Fram made filter) you hate your car. Every car guy I know wont go near one. |
