To me, a road trip is going coast to coast or tip to tip. Either that or doing a loop of some sort over 3,000 miles. I bought my V in May of '04. In August, I took the V from Boston to Niagara Falls to Ontario back into Michigan across the ferry into Wisconsin to North Dakota to the Badlands, Wall Drug, Mt. Rushmore, Devils Tower to Beartooth Pass, MT to Yellowstone to the Tetons to Oregon to Mt. Ranier to Seattle to Crater Lake to the Redwoods to the Bay Area to Sonoma to Death Valley to Vegas to the Hoover Dam to the Grand Canyon to Tulsa to Chicago to the NFL HOF in Canton to home.
THAT's a road trip.... | What's your point bigjim? Your post does nothing to answer the original poster's questions. Nobody cares what a hardcore roadtripper you are. |

All roadtrips would do is put rock chips on the front of my V. I'll save my driving for the track and driving around town above the limit

I thought about the corvette factory in bowling green | Summit Racing is just north of North Canton right next to highway. Very cool hot rod store.
Corvette Museum AND Corvette Plant tour across the street are highly recommended.

I quess I should of said Trip not road trip. I been on other forums but this one is a little different. Anyway I appreciate the tips on speeding and I will check out Summit and Corvette Factory. I agree about Memphis. There are good and bad parts just like anyother town.
Thanks again |

At the last minute he had a problem with his, so just for the heck of it, we opted for the new to me 05V. Our first stop was in Ely, Nv on Saturday - we just happened to catch the first day of the Nevada Silver State Classic (a race on closed Nv highways.) WOW, there were about 30-35 of the worlds great exotic sports cars. Z06's were the "cheapies," there were Ferraris, Porsches, Audis, GT350s, and more. We watched some of them launch for flying mile contests.
That really got our blood warm for a sprint across the middle of scenic Nevada. We got the V running pretty good a few times. and would have done more had we known the road better. We overnighted at Momo Lake, Ca, and then began the twisties through the Sierras. We really began enjoying how that 2 ton tessie can handle the corners. We made it through the Sierras and on to Cambria, where we spent another night. The next day was all Hwy 1 - and for those of you who have driven Hwy 1, there are more than a few corners. We had a blast. We stopped Hwy 1 when it ended near the Oregon border. The only bad thing about the V in the corners is if you are the passenger. We logged about 3000 miles in 6 days. That is a road trip! |

Saudi is one of the strictest borders in the world. They have every right to strip your car down and request you move in 5 mins...or they will tow it and inpound it. I have to do it two times if i want to go from Q8 to Dubai. Q8 to saudi, once, then qatar to saudi, twice, (ok i am also gonna see some friends in Qatar. Give a dog a bone here...) total km 900-1200. If i go to Oman i will hit 1500km or about 900mi. | | Cadillac Discussion Tools | | |
