    Oil cooler "kit"

I have put together a kit that works on cars WITH AND WITHOUT HEADERS. it uses the cooler and cooler hoses from a 08-09 vette, some fabricated brackets and some aeroquip fire sleeves (hoses pass fairly close to some hot things!!). THANKS TO V-SAM for letting me put one on his car. after his 4 hour drive on Christmas eve he let me know that the oil temp never rose above 186 (stop and go traffic leaving here) and seemed to settle in at 183 degrees. Parts (cooler,hose,2 "brackets", fire sleeves) cost about $315.00 and labor to do this is 5 hours (about $580.00) the LH header (or cat if no headers) and LH engine mount have to come out to properly route the hose. Here's the important thing, for at least the next 2-3 I only want to do local installs. no shipping them out yet. there are a few tweaks and bends to the hose that has to made that we are still working out. this also seems like it will work better with the UUC motor mounts (which V-Sam has) due to them being a little skinnier than stock. if there is anybody wanting to get one installed let me know and I will arrange it.

Well I am too far away to be one your prototype installs but this would be a great mod to have done when I have my UUC motor mounts (and possibily headers if I can make up my feeble mind) installed shortly after the first of the year.

Damn, no power mods this year. It seems like I'll do a mounts, clutch, oil cooler, shocks and wheel bearings this year...

Luke, how much would doing motor and tranny UUC mounts, a clutch and an oil cooler at the same time?? Where could I save money doing them at the same time?

when doing the oil cooler the LH mount has to come out, so doing the mounts at the same time as the cooler is benificial. with that said the RH mount is the harder of the 2 to do and still pays 3.5 hours (about $380.00) but like I said you will save about 1.5 (for the LH) doing the mounts at the same time. the clutch pays 3.5 hours to do as well

The diff cooler is $1890.00 BUT may or may not be available (this goes for the above mentioned trans cooler also). I just realized the source for both of these is GM racing and I have heard (through pretty credible sources) that they may not exist any longer. the talking head I just spoke with at GM did not know and suggested I try back next week after the hollidays to be sure.
as for the RDR radiator I dont see why I couldnt order some more
