I am swaping out older-faded emblems for new OEM "V" emblems.
While trying to remove the rear emblem yesterday, it gave me a bit of a fight and I broke the corner piece off with still a large amount of the emblem still attached.
Not sure if this is a detailer question or directed towards those that have replaced general emblems but is there an easy way to accomplish removing this from the car without any worry to the finish?
I would rather keep the other two older emblems intact if possible.
I can get the sticky residue off with Goo Gone or similar once the emblems are removed.
Advice would be greatly appreciated!!!!

No, not there. | | | Re: "V" emblem replacement Don't get it too hot or you can burn the paint. Warm it up, then use dental floss or fishing line to take it off, followed by Goo-Gone. Also- before removing the old emblem, put some masking tape in a "box" around the emblem so you can easily place the new one in the proper location and straight.

As mentioned... Patience is the key.
The hairdryer takes a bit of time to heat the backing well enough to pull the floss through.
It will happen but be patient.
All the best and thank for the advice!!!

I think they're like 50 each when bought in 2's versus 60 each when bought individually.
