any V owners get a thank you from caddy?

I always get a thank you when i buy a GM car...kinda dorky, but i like it, but nothing on the V. heck, i'd settle for a free oil change coupon (which i think somebody said they got once) since i hafta drop 90 bucks tomorrow for one and i still feel scheduled maintenance should be included with this car. I'd rather put the 90 bucks toward V logo mats

    just curious.

I got a follow-up from the dealer but NO oil change (they service dept is being rebuilt anyway- plus I change the oil myself). I did get a letter from Caddy with the Cadillac logo'ed items book the other day.

    Nothing free though.

That's funny because I was just going to start a thread like this the other day. You will not imagine the surveys, thank you's, etc.

4 seperate letters thank you's from dealership:
Salesman, sales manager, finance manager, body shop manager (because they fixed the front plate holes in my bumper)

1 or 2 thank you letters from Cadillac

Thank you's letters from Onstar and XM

Survey via phone from dealership about dealership

Survey in mail from Cadillac about dealership

Yes or No Survey via phone from GM for quality of vehicle (I told them on the phone I had many suggestions, they told me an engineer would call about those later)

A man from GM (didn't say he was an engineer, but I think he was) called and I spoke to him for almost 45 min. about what to do on future CTS-V's.

Pretty cool; my parents and friends never had anything near this type of treatment when they bought new cars.

My dealer touched me in my special naughty place. That was enough for me.

Re: any V owners get a thank you from caddy?

I received a thank you card from GM.

But the most notable was an invitation to my Dealer's "Cadillac New Vehicle Owner Clinic" where a buffet dinner and vallet parking will be provided. Furthermore "hands-on demonstrations" will be included along with "an interactive presentation on OnStar's features...you will also have the opportunity to ask questions about your specific vehicle". I hope they have sent their techs to V training school since I took delivery 2 months ago since they knew virtually nothing about the car then.

Re: any V owners get a thank you from caddy?

Yes, I received several "Thank You" items from GM/Cadillac along the lines of what's been listed above.

The best piece has been the signed poster from Vince Muniga (can't remember who signed it now!) which I've framed and will soon hang prominently somewhere at the house, if for no other reason than to remind my wife of my true love (just kidding).

The thing I still find pretty humorous is that MAZDA is STILL sending me thank you items and freebies, along with surveys for the RX8 they bought back over 6 months ago! Too funny...

Re: any V owners get a thank you from caddy?

I have not received anything like a thanks you other than the normal "thanks for buying FILL IN YOUR CAR HERE" We really care FILL IN YOUR NAME HERE form letter. When I bought the new 3 series model from BMW I got the artist concept they made the car from. I thought this was so cool since it was a first year vehicle (similar to the V) and I had something for buying it as a new model. I am not expecting much but I did get the wake up call after coming back to American Cars after being pampered via the Germans.

Re: any V owners get a thank you from caddy?

I can second Rabid's reply - I heard from the salesman (3 times) and Caddy sales mgr over the first 3 weeks after I purchased the car.

I've gotten a thank you letter from Cadillac.

OnStar and XM send stuff every other week to be sure I extend the 3 month trial.

I think they've given my name and address to golf equipment and cigar vendors.
