I Just arrived home from what I referred to as "My Power Tour". I'm sure I'm way late on the discussions and stories, so rather than jumping in on "old" threads" I thought I'd just recap my appreaciation and outlook (if anyone cares).
My week BEGAN with the Summit Point track event, continued to Myrtle Beach Bike Week, and finished with a romp in The Tail of the Dragon (Deal's Gap) along with a trip back home to Cleveland, Ohio. I logged in a couple thousand miles in a week with nothing but positive things to say about the great people I met, the cool places I saw, and the cool car I got to do it in. I went to Summit hoping for just some fun, and left there with an overwhelming amount of knowledge of driving and respect for those who log in alot of time behind the wheel of not only the V's but all roadracing cars in general. I'm a drag racer since elementary and I just fell into whole new realm of fun. I jumped in my V at the track and asked my instructor to "treat me like a son, scream at me to do better, show me how, and holler at me when I do something stupid". That instructor named Andrej, took me to a level of fun that was just unbelievable! I now see my V as a well engineered instrument, that holds the balance of luxury and raging performance to an extremely high level.
I have a large amount of video and pics from my trip to remember (including an extreme close-up of the new V doing a holeshot in the track parking lot), see it in the 09 V part of this forum. Also a pic of a slow UPS truck entering the Dragon's Tail in front of me while I was raging through the curves.
The car performed great along with my new steel diff to boot.
Oh yeah, 1.07/1.02 lateral g meter. Stock car with BFG KD's! Thanks Andrej!!
I just want to say thank you Lindsay Cadillac, Luke, Pfeff, Andrej, and all of the forum members who I have met here and there for helping my experience materialize in the way that it did.
ByThWay. Anyone know who has the OTHER Stealth Grey V that showed up at my Myrtle Beach hotel (Carolina Winds) on 5/15 ?????
I left with my Stealth Grey car on 5/14, and on 5/15 my brother send me a phone pic of and exact car like mine... IN THE SAME PARKING SPOT AT MY HOTEL JUST THE NEXT MORNING!!!!!!!! The odds are just unbelievable...
Sorry if the Summit Point thing was already talked about here:horse:... But I had to say thanks.
Here are a couple of pics.
