Never done it before but it looks simple. Anyone recommend the dealer incase of any issues after the fact?
Also, I have no rear seal leaks but there is a open recall on my car? The dealer recommends doing it. Should I wait till there is a problem? Thoughts?

| | Cadillac Owners Fanatic Cadillac(s): Cadillac | | Join Date: Apr 2008 Location: new jersey | | | Re: Read Diff Flush - Dealer Cost = $132.00 find lilreds dealer FAST!! there is not a way for the dealer to do the flush while doing the pinion seal and claiming the additional fluid and labor under warranty, so if in fact they did do it they would have to had absorbed the cost, if that is the case god bless them they are ok in my book. unfortunetly for myself and my dealer i would charge the customer...not the entire cost because the seal was getting done, it would be a substantial decrease in price, probably half normal cost |

Didn't work so we are now scheduled to have a new diff installed.  |

What about the rear seal? Should I have it replaced per the recall even though it's currrently fine? I don't want additional problems from the dealer. |

|  | Cadillac Owners Fanatic Cadillac(s): 2006 infrared cts-v | | | | | Re: Read Diff Flush - Dealer Cost = $132.00 Part of the recall is to replace diff fluid and add additive they can not replace seal with out loosing the diff fluid. my dealer did not put additive in until they got it ordered but all new fluid and additive and seal under recall no charge and issued rental car for the day to do recall. if recal not done get it done just make sure they put additive in. they can read the recall and parts required. fluid and additive listed. |

He may be mistaken? I haven't had it done yet because they had to order parts.
