ALSO - if, after getting this, your XM doesn't show up, and it happens repeatedly (once or twice every few months is normal), then send it back to them and they'll send you a replacement. apparently this is a pretty common issue. got mine 2 weeks ago (new one), and haven't had a problem since |

(Neo ProLink PODGMXMV2) I installed the ProLink PODGMXMV2 in my 2006 Cadillac CTS-V. Functionally, everything works as advertised. However, whenever I listed to XM Radio broadcasts, I can hear "static" in the background. It is most noticeable during silence or soft passages. The "static" has a very distinct pattern - I hear the static for a second, then it stops for a second; on again, off again.
I didnt have this issue before I plugged in the ProLink box. Also, none of my other sources (iPod, AM/FM radio, etc) are suffering from this issue.
Anyone experience a similar issue? |

call Prolink customer support. They have a very small customer support/technical service department, but the guys are both extremely nice, and very knowledgeable. there hasn't been a question yet that they haven't been able to answer right away. |

I have been having to reset the Neo by taking off the negative battery terminal at least once a week now. Its getting really annoying. As is all the other electrical problems these V's have. |

(Neo ProLink PODGMXMV2) So.. the problem that I'm having recently with this unit, is that if I don't touch the car for a couple days, the iPod seems to "forget" where it was, and resets back to the first mp3 track...
Is there a cure for this? |

Is there a cure for this? | You mean while the iPod is still hooked up? Or when you unhook the iPod?
I have never had a problem other than taking the iPod out of the car. I can leave it in for days and it will start on the same song. The only problems I have had is the ProLink will loose XM stations all together which you have to pull the negative battery terminal. Or when you put new music on the iPod, it will reset itself so you have to select shuffle on the iPod again. |

But, with that being said, when I do have it out and hook it back into the Neo, it takes 1-2 minutes for it to "connect". It stays locked on the GM screen on the iPod... annoying. |

Too bad the original iPhone's audio ouput is crap Im using my creative zen mp3 player through the aux input on the USA Spec and it sounds about 30 times better. Supposedly the 3g iphone has much better audio output...too thumbs down for crapple. |

After a certain amount of time, the iPod goes into a deeper state of standby that doesn’t retain the last song it was on when connected to our kit. There really isn’t anyway around this without using it more frequently.

I am running bluetooth wireless stereo and would only need the aux input for now. I installed the PAC audio input through the XM and it does not sound right. It has a "tinny" or "echoey" sound. | | Cadillac Discussion Tools | | |
